Learning Goals 
  1. Locate SDS information in the lab and online.
  2. Read SDS’s for safety concerns and handle chemicals accordingly.
  3. Correctly respond to an evacuation including:
    1. Turning off gas and water.
    2. Exiting the classroom quickly.
    3. Reporting to the correct location on the field. 
    4. Turning off the gas and water main of the lab.
  4. Correctly use the safety shower.
  5. Correctly use the fume hood and determine when to use it.
  6. Correctly use the eyewash. 
  7. Dress appropriately for lab including removing jewelry, ID’s etc.
Agenda
  1. Bell Ringer
    1. Locate a seat.  You can sit where you would like and expect to move around quite a bit, but get where you need to be as quickly as you can.
    2. Before the timer ticks down you need to do the following:
      1. Enroll in your Google Classroom for Chemistry 1 H using the code provided on the board.
      2. Enroll in Remind text messaging using the link on your syllabus. 
      3. Complete the assignment to install the online TI-84 emulator (posted to GC).
      4. Watch the welcome video (if you haven't done so already) and begin reading over the syllabus.
      5. Pick up a copies of:
        1. "I Can" list for lab safety, and 001 - Classifying Matter / 002 - Math Skills (double-sided).
